Deleting the DPF means losing the (filtered) low pressure EGR. ddxcb • '13 Passat TDI SEL • 2 yr. ago. The EGR is one of the main reasons for the DPF is in use as the EGR makes the engine create more Particulate Matter than without. Thats why when tuners "Tune" the EGR more closed it increases the life of the DPF.

I currently have a Nissan Qashqai 2012 1.5. My problem is as i found out to do with the DPF… now what we have been told is our car has once been regenerated without any luck. We have been quoted £1500 to sort out the problem. Firstly the car does not have a DPF light installed, so what happened was the EML came on when i was away on holiday.
You have to remove it, and you will need compressed air and a shop vac with VERY good suction. You have to force air in to the DPF opposite exhaust flow, with a vacuum attached to the other end, sealed. Turn the vacuum on, and blast the compressed air through the DPF. It will blow out some soot and ash, but the metallic ash may not dislodge.
I have a Passat Estate diesel and have read your comments regarding the problems of the DPF. On a couple of occasions recently the engine fan has continued to run after a short journey. Since then I have completed a number of long journeys at the end of which the fan was not running. Would the fan running after the short journeys be anything to do with the DPF? 2: packaging, a small car does not have nearly the real estate available to have an easily accessible DPF hanging alongside a giant frame rail easily exposed by removal of a few screws like a big truck can. 3: cost vs. benefit, as in most cases a passenger car's DPF can go MUCH longer than a big truck, so easy access is less of an issue anyway. Hyundai I30 Current model does not Have DPF fitted. Earlier model does or Possibly the Auto has a DPF and the manual does not. Evidently there is a sticker under the bonnet if there is not one fitted. Hyundai R series diesel in the Santa Fe No DPF fitted. DPF is fitted to earlier models possibly only Autos. Holden Colorado No DPF fitted Guest. #2 · Mar 6, 2014. 2002 will not have a DPF 5w40 will be fine however the turbos benefit from the VW505 or higher 5w30 but either would be OK. Your servicing can be every 1 year/10k or 2 years and 18-20k, its up to you but the long service interval requires longlife oil. L. JWcsGC.
