ford mondeo 2.0 tdci fuel pump replacement
new to this form so may have posted in the wrong place? does anybody know how to replace a power steering pump on a mondeo mk3 2ltr tdci 2003, i have been informed by a garge that the pump is leaking fluid, however due to the clutch needing to be replaced im a bit low on cash so carnt relly

The dealer told me that the pressure needs to be somewhere between 280 and 320 psi but my pump is making 420 psi.So I recently bought a mk5 2.0 180Ps Mondeo. Lovely car, 80k, full service history etc.and the usual oil leak from the high pressure fuel pump drive gear housing gasket. The relay is an internal part of the bcm and can not be changed, if the fuse is ok and getting power then the next step would be to check for power and ground at the fuel pump connector. Sometimes beating on the fuel tank with the ignition switched on can get the pump to work.
