Inside the IDML file, you can open the Resources folder and edit the Graphic.xml file. Near the top, you’ll find the definition of Black, which in this case is set to RGB: You can change this to Space="CMYK" and ColorValue=“0 0 0 100”. Then save that, and open the Preferences.xml file, and search for the word “Intent”.
For mere viewing, it doesn't change a viewer's experience to look at a document with multiple spaces. The only benefit to changing to RGB in that scenario is that RGB images take up less space in the file than CMYK images, hence a slightly smaller file size.
Photoshop files can only have a single color space, so there’s no need for a Transparency Blend Space choice—the sRGB document’s Blending Mode has to be RGB. InDesign documents can have a mix of objects with different color modes—CMYK, RGB, or Lab—so when color gets flattened on export or output there needs to be a single output space
The monitor profile (which is set by the OS when a monitor is calibrated), is important because the profiled document colors gets converted into the Monitor RGB space (profile) for display. So in the case of a CMYK color, if either the CMYK profile assignment or the System’s Monitor Profile are wrong the display will be less accurate.
If you want to color manage the conversion of an HTML hex color to the closest FOGRA39 CMYK version of the color (#FF5050 is out-of-gamut to most CMYK spaces), set the InDesign source RGB profile to sRGB (modern web browsers display HTML hex values as sRGB) and the destination CMYK profile to FOGRA39 via Edit>Assign Profiles.
Also, even if you go to the trouble of converting every object and color in your document to RGB (which really isn't necessary), you still have to use the correct setting in the PDF Export Output tab. The warning you are getting indicates that you have the Destination set to a CMYK profile, which conflicts with your RGB Transparency Blend Space.
Hi friends, I and my friend have this doubt for a long time. When we open Color picker window by clicking the fill/stroke in tools palette, we see this RGB Color Space view. But we use indesign for print production and we need to know how to change this RGB Color Space view to CMYK Color space. So
